Appointed as distributor of NXP, CAT (Chip Advanced Technology), Silicon Motion, mSilica and Magellan. The new lineups are to bolster Zenitron’s LCD TV, MP3, LED and GPS markets.

Merged Sino Global Technology. Obtained distribution of the products from Pixelworks, Inc. (USA) and Zoran Corp. (USA).
Through the consolidation, Zenitron acquired LCD TV (Pixelworks - scaler IC) and digital camera (Zoran – DSP) core components. The new components together with the power components strengthen Zenitron’s competitive edge in the consumer electronics market.

Appointed as distributor of Wavecom Asia Pacific Ltd. (France) for GSM/GPRS/CDMA modules and modems .
Established Zenitron (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. Officially expanded Zenitron’s operation into China market.

Appointed as distributor of Silicon General Inc for semiconductor components. The company was renamed Linfinity Microelectronics, and later was merged by Microsemi Corp.
Appointed as distributor of International Rectifier (USA) in Taiwan, the world’s largest Power MOSFET manufacturer.
Appointed as distributor of Fuji Electronic Device Technology (Japan) for semiconductor components.
Set up operations in Kaohsiung
Distributor of Towa Electron Co., Ltd (Japan) which had changed its name into Fujitsu Media Devices. Fujitsu Media Devices is a subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited (Japan).
 
Appointed as distributor of Rohm Co., Ltd (Japan) for all its semiconductor components.
Zenitron was established in Taipei with an initial capital of NT$2.5 million.
